		<description>Who cares exactly how they prioritize these things?  Honestly, it&#039;s nice that they (at least give the appearance) care at all about their employees.  The company itself must concern itself first with the welfare of the company.  In most cases, the welfare of the employees is a means to this end.  

At any rate, part of your responsibility as an employee (and as a human being) is to not actively hurt your company&#039;s bottom line or your coworkers by being really sick at work.

And hopefully you can work for a place that cares about your well-being independently of the bottom line.  But it&#039;s not in the company&#039;s job description, and if that&#039;s important to a person, he should find a company that feels the same way.  It&#039;s just probably pretty rare.</description>
