Recently, I came to know about this site, IdeaWicket - Open Innovation Portal. This site quotes that everyone is an Innovator and it’s just not restricted to scientists and researchers. It’s a site to showcase one’s novel ideas, designs, innovations and inventions. It lists innovative ideas under different categories including Computers & Peripherals, Gadgets & Electronics, Internet & Media, Science & Technology etc which are all listed by the site users. They not only help you to showcase your developed product but also your ideas. If you have an idea of a product or a service which is not currently there in the market, you can list it there to show off your creativity to manufacturers and producers. It also lets other users and site visitors to comment on your product and idea which helps to build on from your base idea.
This site is very new and it’s still in beta phase, so it doesn’t have a huge database of products. But the ones listed there are quite interesting and some are amusing. The real innovation starts when a problem is looked at a different angle in search of a solution. So start being innovative and list your ideas.
