Every time we need to find any information on any topic under the sun, we Google. But the underlying usefulness of Google search box is just not limited to search and it’s also a Calculator! This is not known to many including me until I found out from VirtualExit’s post today.
So there is no need of another application to be opened when you have your browser opened with Google Tool bar. The way it works is simple, enter any mathematical expression in the search box and it resolves the case for you. The answer is listed in the suggestion section if you are using the search box in tool bar or if you using the Google search page, Click the search button after entering the expression to get the answer.

Almost all the operators are supported by Google Calculator, the following are some of the operators commonly used.
+, -, *,/ ,^, %, Choose, th root of, % of, sqrt, sin, cos, tan, ln, log, ! etc
One tip in using the Google Calculator is that if you are not getting any answers in the suggestion section in the toolbar, you can force it to work by ending the expression with “=” symbol. It understands both the short forms and long forms of units (like KM or Kilometers, sin or sine etc). It also takes the value of constants (like C, g etc) in the expression while calculating its value.
Check out Google’s How to use the Google Calculator for more examples and formats to follow while using.

Glad you like it.
I will be posting many Google and office hacks quite soon.
