Google’s Fun Side and The Escaped Pet Snake

Working in Google is way too much fun. It has a workplace that doesn’t look like a workplace and Google claims that by having an environment that is fun adds to their productivity. Everything inside works by the code, Its Free! That’s right, anything that Googlers get inside is free for them. Right from the food they eat and all the luxury massage they get is free. That’s why Googler’s love their office so much that some start living inside and others come in their bunny shoes and some others bring their pets. When I say pet I mean pets like snakes!
On April 1st, a Googler’s pet python escaped from the cage in New York office and when a notice was sent across the office about the escaped ball python, almost everyone thought its another prank of Google or they are talking about the programming language python. They did manage to convince to everybody that this not a joke and its true after some time. Finally they found the pet python behind a cabinet.
Now I know why they receive 3000 applications a day which is 1 million a year. Who wouldn’t love to take their pet to office and work in such an environment? This is the reason Fortune Magazine voted Google as the killer place to work for in America.
