How to Get The Real Aurora Boot Screen in Vista?

If you have Windows Vista, you might have wondered by looking at the boot screen. It looks somehow prehistoric to Vista, the boot screen looks similar to a DOS interface. But with a little tweak, you can get the aurora screen as the boot image. The new screen says ‘Starting Windows Vista’ instead of ‘Microsoft Corporation’ like in the default boot screen and the image looks consistent with the Vista look.

How to Get The Real Aurora Boot Screen?

To activate the new aurora boot screen, Click Start and Type MSCONFIG in the search box and press Enter. (Or Go to RUN and Type MSCONFIG)
Go to Boot tab and Select ‘No GUI boot‘ and Click Apply and OK.
Restart and you will have the new aurora boot screen.

  7. Don’t do it…it will screww up your startup settings and youll have to reset anyway…

  10. @Jan, I have updated with the screen shot of Vista Boot Configuration. No Gui Boot is in the boot tab of MSCONFIG
