Easy Way to Format Regional Settings in Windows

If you have ever wondered anytime how to format the regional settings like Numbers, Currency, Time and Date in Windows XP or Vista, there is an easy way to do by means of a shortcut. If you like to have the time in military format in the task bar or have the date written with year first, everything you can customize.

How to do it?

Go to RUN and Type ‘intl.cpl’. You will get a Pop-up box called ‘Regional and Language Options’.
Under Format, Click ‘Customize this format’.

You will see four tabs; Numbers, Currency, Time and Date. Change all the settings as per your desire and Click Ok.

If you would like to change the default location to your preferred location, use the Tab ‘Location’ under ‘Regional and language Options’. This information will be used by some software and service provider who give you local information such as news and weather.
