One of the recent tricks to get more crowds for a blog is to give away a free e-book when compared to the traditional way of giving away free blogger or wordpress themes and plugins. Whatever it is, the most important things is to showcase your product and make it sell by itself. Even if the product is free, it won’t sell unless the content is what’s being demanded by the public and the fact is also that the cover should look good. This is what gives the first impression. Don’t you think the box design of Vista looks good and it’s selling though many demand its bad?

I was searching for easy software and which is free to design a custom 3D box cover to publicize the product. This works not only for free ebooks but for any product. So this is how you design.
3D Box Shot Maker from BossEye is the tool you need and its very light weight. You just give the front and side image as input and gives the whole custom design 3D Box product image in a second and it’s fully customizable.
It also gives the Web 2.0 style reflection of the Box and shadow if you want. You can also save a preset that you are currently using and use it for all future designs.
These are the parameters you can change:
Height of the box,
Width of the front image,
Width of the side image,
Angle of the front image,
Angle of the side image,
Select or deselect Shadow,
Length of the shadow,
Angle of the shadow,
Intensity of the shadow,
Select or deselect Web 2.0 style reflection,
Length of the reflection,
Intensity of the reflection.

I don’t think you need any more feature to design a custom 3D Box cover. I just used the title ‘Tweaks of Vista from Lyte Byte’ to design one. I designed the front and side image in MS Paint and the 3D box using ‘3D Box Shot Maker’ and the whole design took only 2 minutes.
This software works in all Windows including Vista.

Very nice find. Now all I need is decide on what to put in the ebook.
Good software. I thinks this is the “save mode” version for the “under-line” ebook’s publisher.
Though I would use it myself too!
Thanks, mr byte!
Wow! Thanks mate. I’ll try it out and see whether I can come up with something.
Amazing Joel
This gives me an amazing new Evil idea muhahahha

Just watch out what I shall do
Ah… I’m not a ebook publisher, but I’ll surely take this one to decorate my sidebar in the near future.
