I use LCD monitors at home and at work (which seems to be the increasing trend these days) and I suspect that the color doesn’t make any difference to the power consumption as the back lights are on at the same intensity no matter what color is being displayed on my screen. I would be interested to know if someone could validate my suspicions. I expect that the black versus white power consumption figures only apply to the older CRT type monitors.

EnergyStar debunked this as not really saving energy at all on LCD screens (the majority of screens used nowadays). Though it does save some energy on the old CRT monitors.

When you use google co-op to make your own search, they give a plethora of options including options to change backgrounds, links, dexcriptions & text to any hex code color.

Yup, Black is cool. give another kind psychological feeling. I see google brand still pretty good looking on black color.

Btw, can I switch the color to dark green or green? I love green color!
