I just realized today that my feeds are not being delivered properly. It didn’t render properly in any browser but surprisingly it didn’t have any problems with Google reader (I think Google Reader gets the content directly by crawling the web page incase if its not able to get the content from the feed page). As I use Google Reader, I was not aware that my feed has broken up.
How to solve feed issues in blogs?
As I was not sure of the reason why my feed was broken, I was looking for a tool to do the job. I found Feed Validator through feedburner forum to be the right tool to find out what is the issue. It’s so simple! All that you have top do is enter your feed link and submit and it will tell you what is the issue. They can validate feeds in different formats like RSS, ATOM and KML from Blogger, Wordpress and So on.
Looks like there was an unknown html character in one of the codes that I had mentioned in my previous post ‘The Evolution of a Programmer‘ and it was the reason for breaking my feeds. I removed it and everything works so smooth now.
Its always good to check all the links and feeds once in a while to know if there any broken links.
are you saying it will tell you what is messing up your theme? or just the name of the problem.
@Techie Blog, Yeah they actually pin point what exactly is causing the problem. In my case, they showed which line and which word is causing the issue.
