In the last post, I mentioned about how to select or deselect check box using keyboard shortcut. After the check box comes the radio button which is quite often used as a mode of selection between a couple of options.

So, how to select the radio button option using the keyboard?

You would be using tab key to move across different fields or box and when you come across the radio button and if you are wondering how to select between the options, use the arrow keys to choose your option and press tab key to go to the next field.

Selecting Radion Button With Keyboard Shortcut

For example, in Google search page you enter the item to be searched and you press the tab key. You are taken to a radio button asking you to choose whether you want to search the whole web or from local pages. You use the arrow key as the keyboard shortcut to move between the options and press enter key. By this way you avoid yourself from using mouse for radio button options.
