I mean if you are in windows then why to use firefox to open files. It may be helpful when your file explorer gets corrupted and you need some alternate to open your files. I am not sure. A rather damning thread in their website forum tells of many crashes on XP and that thread goes waaay back. Oh, and the copyright of the web pages still say 2005.
