You can always improve the efficiency of handling any computer application if you are accustomed with their keyboard shortcuts. And it’s much helpful if you are using especially a laptop without a mouse. Apart from the common ones like cut, copy, paste it may be hard to learn all the keyboard shortcuts that you need to know.
But with the New Microsoft Office 2007, it’s very easy as you need not learn any shortcuts before hand and you can use the keyboard shortcuts by just looking at different features that you want to use.

So how do you use keyboard shortcuts for Microsoft Office 2007 Ribbon features?
Unlike the general keyboard shortcuts here you are not pressing all the keys at the same time but one after the other. All that you have to do is click ALT and you will be seeing the keys that you need to click to browse around the features in the ribbon. If you want to go back to previous options then press Escape button.
For example, in PowerPoint 2007 or Word 2007, if you want to insert a text box: Click ALT and you will see N under the title Insert in the menu bar. Click N and you will be taken to the ribbon options for Insert and there you will see again all the keyboard shortcuts for different features. X is used to insert a text box.
And if your job requires this action very frequently, you will get used to this shortcut and will use it with ease in future occurrences.

Nice tip. Thanks!
