#1.( very important question) How do I know what which programs and such to stop running in my start up menu? I dont want to pick something and it messes up my whole laptop.

#2.I ran the “RegCure” and it said I have 886 problems, 562 are empty registry items.But I have to pay to get them fixed. any free sites to fix this stuff?

#3. what are registry items?

@Jenny, You can remove the programs (uninstall) from Start -> Control Panel -> Programs -> Uninstall a Program. From the list choose the program and click Uninstall/Change to uninstall an application.

Besides reducing the StartUp programs, there is yet another tab on the same window ” Services”. If you hide the unwanted services, then it makes your bootup time faster.
