Choose the Best Chart for your Data in Excel 2007 using Chart Advisor

Have you ever had so much of data in your Excel and wondered which  Chart would be the best fit? Now you can use Chart Advisor from Microsoft Office Labs to choose the best fit of chart to represent the data you have.

Go to Insert –> Chart Advisor under Office Labs.

Make sure the cursor is in one of the cell where the data is available. It will choose all the data, analyze and present the suitable chart along with other choices.

Here in this example, I tried with the Month and their expenses, Chart Advisor gave the best fit of the Chart and other charts as well. As usual you can hover over the other charts to preview it.

Here I gave expenses for two years and analyzed it. The main projected chart was a bar chart and it also gave other line charts, Bar Charts, Area charts etc.

You can also filter the data after the chart is being prepared using the Filter Data options. If its a text, you can use the check box to choose and if its numeric then you can use options like greater than, less than or equal to etc.

You can also use the options under Modify Chart to remove the columns of data from the chart etc.
