Formulas help to calculate many things and also to predict the sales or cost or other aspects in any business. Many times these formulas are not to be revealed to clients or others when these projected data are published. So its a wise option to hide these formulas just before sending out to others.
So today let’s see how to hide and unhide formulas in Excel?
Recently we looked on how to protect Excel sheets with password and also selectively protecting certain cells, columns or rows in Excel. Hiding and unhiding formulas is also a similar feature.
You can selectively hide only certain formulas or you can hide all the formulas in the sheet. To selectively hide it, right click on the cell and choose Format Cells or to hide all the formulas in the sheet, you can just use Ctrl + A as Keyboard shortcut to select all and choose Format cells.
Go to the Protection tab and choose Hidden. [For locked see the other post, How to Protect Excel Sheets with Password?]

Click Ok.
Now go to Review tab, Click Protect sheet and hide the sheets using a password.

This would hide all the formulas. To be able to view the formulas again or to unhide it, go the review tab and click Unprotect sheet. Enter the password again to unhide it.
Here you can see the difference before hiding the formulas,

and after hiding it.
